I was just venting.
1. Research Your Competition To See Where You Can Win
Before you go into any market, you must always see who you’ll be competing against.
If you don’t, you could waste all of your resources including your Time, Energy, and Money.
Sports teams always study their competition to see where their strengths and weaknesses are, so that they can exploit and take advantage of them.
The military does the same before going to war with another country.
Going to war maybe an extreme example, but the principle is still the same…
You may not lose your life, but you can possible lose your livelihood and your current standard of living.
For example, let’s say that you wanted to go into the Photography Niche.
That’s a huge market and you don’t want to try to be all things to everyone in that market.
So you’d have to narrow down to a specific niche.
You’d go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal.
Then enter “photography” into the “Word or phrase” field, Enter the Captcha Code, and click “Search.”
Now you can go through the list of the returned results for Keyword Phrases that have a lot of searches with Low Competition.
A good example at the time of this writing is baby photography, which had low competition.
Now that you’ve found a potentially profitable niche to go into, you’ll want to create a list of profitable keywords based upon that niche.
This brings us to the next tip…
2. Create A List Of The Most Profitable Keywords
You can take that niche market that you found (i.e. baby photography) and enter it into the Google Tool to create a list of keywords in which you could create highly relevant content around that you can use to attract targeted prospects to your sites.
Since you started off on the right-foot by discovering a potentially profitable niche, everything that you do after that will have a high probability of getting you the results you seek…
In terms of bringing the people that’s actively searching for what you have to offer, versus you trying to force a product they don’t want down their throats.
That scenario is no good for anyone.
We call this process, “working from the top down.”
Once you’ve identified what people want and they are willing to pay for it, the rest is easy.
3. Create Content Based Upon The Most Profitable keywords
Now that you’ve taken the time out to see what your niche market is actively searching for and have a list of keywords that they use to find it…
You then use those keywords to create content in many different formats.
Formats such as Articles, Videos, Blog Comments, Forum Posts, Squidoo Lens, Mini-sites, and etc.
All these different “content Magnets” will attract tons of prospects to your websites.
The benefit is that you’ll have multiple traffic sources, which will add to the stability of your business, because if one dries up…
You’ll have multiple other traffic sources to draw prospects in from.
